Power Stroke Diesel

This Ford is powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke, Turbo Diesel Engine, it’s  a $9000.00 option on this Ford Superduty! It’s an overhead valve V8 that delivers an impressive 440 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 925 pound-feet of torque at 1,800 rpm. It features an all new steel frame, that is and impressive 350 pounds lighter than the previous models and 24 percent stiffer too. Our test truck had a six-speed automatic tranny and the optional electronic locking differential. You can engage the truck into 4X4 on the dashboard – a very handy feature.

Power to pass slow pokes in the right or left lane is no problem at all with its very responsive acceleration — even at high speeds it provides you with a couple of G’s. For a truck with a diesel engine, it’s surprisingly quite, I mean it’s very quiet in the cab! The truck gave us 14 mpg during our test of 350 miles with 200 of those miles on the highway.

The interior is plush and again (quiet). You really can’t tell it’s a diesel.

The platinum interior package gives you (leather), heated seats and even cooled front seats! The rear heated seats also offer with dual climate controls. It has a 10-speaker Sony stereo system and also comes with a blind spot camera system that also will see the trailer your pulling. Of course, you also get an easy to use navigation system.  The base price of this awesome Ford Super Duty is $62,000
